Hey Christina, we are so sorry you found the product disappointing. The paste is to be dabbed on to any spots with clean hands or a cotton bud, and should dry within 5 minutes of application. Our product contains actives like azealic acid and as you have said zinc oxide to calm redness. This product takes a more gentle approach to an overnight spot treatment with a beautiful superfine clay finish. As an overnight treatment built into the routine I feel this is much more likely to have a gentle response on your overall skin chemistry instead of a "shock dry out" take for spots. I absolutely love the delicate scent that is indulgently fresh and relaxing perfect for a before bed night routine.”
