“As my handyman skills are about 7 out of 10, I bought the badger 5 (standard) with a power cord. The extra 5 bucks for the garbage disposal with the power cord was a reasonable price to pay. Installation was straightforward: 15 mins of youtube plus 15 mins to remove the old disposal and another 15 mins to install the new one. The new disposal replaces a badger 5 that was installed 19 yrs old that started leaking last week. Hope this new one also lasts 19 yrs! Thanks to the Badger engineering & product teams for a wonderful, reasonably priced product.”

Even though it had been at least ten years since the previous one, we were able to leave the flange around the drain from the old one and hang the new disposal on it, making the installation that much easier.
