“I'm a technology-adept volunteer who does routine maintenance on the 19-zone HVAC system in our UU church. Some of the zones are served by these Honeywell zone valves, on which the actuators sometimes fail after 20 or more years in service. Even in a crawl space, it's pretty easy to swap out the old one for new.”
“Two screws and the top can be replaced easily if of that type of valve. Older Honeywell valves cannot be accommodated in this manner though-the whole valve needs replacing.”
“I've replaced this valve twice, which is disappointing. However, I have a second valve (same part number) that is 1 years old and has never had an issue.”
