My handyman didn't realize that until after he installed it and I asked him if he put that in he said there was nothing in the box and I verified that unfortunately now it's too late to return it** I am very excited about this garbage disposal because I thought I wouldn't be able to have one with a septic system in a 1937 farmhouse. We did have do a little creative reworking to the plumbing. The installation manual was easy to follow and I am quite pleased with it for the price.”

“This model is designed to work with a septic tank. It is my second. Its predecessor of the same model started to die after 12 years of use which doesn't seem too bad. It is quiet, grinds well and in the three occasions that I've had the septic emptied there did not seem to be any problem.”
“My home was built in 2009. It’s 2024 and this is the third disposal. This is a really strong unit and it is also quiet. However, history has shown with normal use it’s not going to last more than 8 years. It’s nice they still make it so that swapping in a new one is easy.”
