“We have always had Insinkerator disposals and have never had problems. We bought this when we remodeled our kitchen. Our old one was still good and we sold it with the old sink. Our other disposal was the same size and as heavy. You will notice that on the newer sinks which don’t have centered drains that this disposal can be a bit cramped against your cabinet. Take measurements when you are buying this large of a disposal and make sure the position of your sink drain is going to accommodate the size. The sink we purchased used its own type of connector as it has a seamless drain. The regular Insinkerator bracket works great with any conventional sink and makes the installation easier. This model does not have the connection for the EZ connect plug and had to be hard wired or adapted for plug in installation with a different type of plug.”
