Insinkerator 76006, Evolution Septic Assist Garbage Disposal, Black Enamel Gray, 3/4 HP Reviews

4.7 Rating 243 Reviews
Had this installed just about four years ago and it is going strong. Very pleased with it. Cannot comment on installation ease as contractor installed it, but I didn't hear them complaining (cussing), so guess it was easy. Even though I knew I wasn't going to put large amounts of garbage into a septic system, I wanted something to take care of the small particles that always get down the drain, especially since I was used to a disposal in the city and would be trying to poke food in before I remembered.

I only wish I'd ordered TWO of these. I got a cheaper one for the other sink and really regret it. This is NOT expensive, it runs so quietly we can't tell it's on, and the fact that it's designed for our septic tank is just amazing. I would buy it again. In fact, I may replace our other NEW one with this one! Worth the $$. Well worth it.

Wow, this thing is amazing. You almost can't even hear it running... seriously. Our only complaint is that the rubber insert sometimes keeps stuff from going down into it. It is supposed to do that, but sometimes that causes water to back up into the sink because it can't drain around the "stuff" that can't go through. It's a small price to pay though since you can just push the stuff down easily enough. We have a septic system so we're concerned about making sure the "stuff" is ground up good and we don't get clogs. This unit is especially designed for people like us.It was pretty easy to install, but it was bigger than our previous unit so some adjustments had to be made.

Very quiet running and with the added convenience of automatically injecting the septic treatment every time you use it. Great buy

It is by far the quietest unit I've ever installed. And since this replaced an older model of itself in my own home that is welcome. However the drain opening is so small even waste as small as corn kernels get hung up and need to be pushed into the drain by hand. I would give up some of the low noise level for better convenience of use. I'm considering removing the rubber baffle and cutting the opening bigger.

Install was very easy. We had a badger before this one. Badger started leaking from the bottom. This appears to be a common issue with the badger. So we upgraded to the Evolution. The unit fit the old adapter. (It just twists on) It actually is really quiet to run, and shreds stuff so fast that it is on for a third of what the old one had to be.

Quiet operation. Replaced a loud Badger 5 that lasted 25 years.

Installed this for a friend at their cabin and its a very quiet and powerful machine. Can't say how it's helping the septic but time will tell
