“With the water restrictor removed the full spray is still gentle but the increased volume of water feels great. Switch the lever to the center-spray only and you have a mini pressure washer that will easily rinse the conditioner out of thick and/or long hair.The lever to switch between the full diameter spray and the center-only spray is a smooth ball-valve that is easy to adjust AND (thanks to the increased volume of water) you can stop anywhere along the adjustment and do a slightly stronger center spray but still have the full diameter with some gentle flow.The center-only spray feels stronger than my garden hose with the nozzle on “shower”…way stronger actually…but the droplets are large so it feels good/relaxing.There are some “water saver” shower heads that claim high-pressure or “strong spray” but all they are doing is speeding up the reduced water flow and creating a fine mist…which in addition to being deafeningly loud, feels like you’re being pelted/sand-blasted with water.Install was easy enough, just do some extra wraps of the Teflon tape. I got the “Moen Waterhill Chrome 14-Inch Replacement Extension Curved Shower Arm, S113” ASIN B0012C5136 and it worked great. The shower arm comes with the wall escutcheon that is appropriately sized/to scale for the 14-inch arm which is nice (might need a touch of silicone or plumbers putty to hold the escutcheon in place).Lastly, another plus is that the spray pattern remains narrow enough (even with the restrictor removed) to not spray the side-walls of the bathtub. We have a Kohler Villager tub and previously had the Kohler Forte shower head…with the restrictor removed on that one, the spray pattern was wide enough that it was blasting the lower side-wall + shower curtain sides which wasn’t ideal.One more tip: you might need to increase the temp on your water heater if you remove the restrictor since you’ll be going through hot water much faster (1000% worth it though!)”
“Love this shower head. The large surface area give lots of room for water flow. Easy to move handle to switch from full head flow to just the center flow. Great when you want move central flow for washing you hair. Really moves a lot of water! Moen is the best company as they stand behind their products. You will love this shower head!”
