“Filters are fine and seem to work wonderfully. Much less dust around the house. So that's nice. Only problem I had was the packaging of the two filters I ordered. They were in a cardboard box with paper for filler. The individual boxes with the filters in them were also only cardboard. Problem is they were left on my house's stoop by UPS. Which isn't the seller's fault, however they should probably have thought of that possibility when they decided not to cover the filters with any plastic. It rained before I got home to get the package off the stoop. Rain and Cardboard do not mix. The water had penetrated all the way down to the filter since there was no plastic lining covering the filters. They only got slightly wet and seemed to have dried fine so no harm/no foul. However a $30+ filter, should be protected better. Just my opinion though.”
“The Aprilaire Replacement filter that I ordered arrived on time and was exactly what I had expected. I had a shipment of the same filter last year that I was not satisfied with. After a few months of use, the filter that is said to last at least six months became detached from its frame and fell to the bottom of the air cleaner. There was no way to repair the filter so I had to install another one. The second filter, which was purchased in a two pack along with the damaged filter did the same thing in only two months time. I am hoping that the replacement filter that I have most recently purchased does not have the same defect as the two previous filters. These filters are expensive to replace and I would like to be able to get the estimated six months use from them.”
“These did not come in an aprilaire box, nor did the filter say aprilaire on the guide. Last time, I bought from the company aprilaire, so I know what the filter should look like. Just started using the product so I'm not sure about the filtering ability yet. I did notice that the filter material was fuzzier and a bit saggy.It got caught on the rail when I was installing it. The description says from aprilaire which does not appear to be true. It seems like a decent price, but you should be up front about the fact that it is a different product. In the next few weeks, as I see how the filter works, I will update that information.Minus 2 stars for what I believe to be false data on the product.”
“As advertised and on time. HOWEVER, please note the construction has silently improved. Without notice, the company added a set of staples in the top rail to hold the filter media up, which makes sense. The media in the original filter installed with my AC fell from the supporting top rail because of adhesive failure, exposing my system to unfiltered air for an unknown period of time. There was no proactive contact from the company, which would be the procedure of a first-class company; Only silence. Be sure the filter you receive has the staples on the top rail, otherwise, return it.”
“This filter works well and it is pretty easy to install. The only reason I give it 3 stars instead of 4 is because the company that installed my new HVAC unit told me that this was a 'once-per-year' filter. But when they came out to perform the annual check up on the unit, they were disappointed that I had not changed the filter. When I reminded them that they told me it was a once-a-year filter, the response was "it doesn't really last that long". I now change it every 6 months.”
“There filter works perfect, however I thought I was purchasing a two pack of filters. The description for the "size" said "2". I purchased a two pack of filters last year from plumbingsupplyandmore for about the same price. I looked at some of the reviews of the filters before hitting the "purchase" button and most foks said that it came with two filters. Guess what - I only received 1 filter. Why would I pay $80 dollars for one filter, when the going rate is approximately $40 per filter. Now I have to pay to return the one filler and re-order two filters. I have been an plumbingsupplyandmore customer for several years and this is my first negative comment!!”
“The filter is good, it just has not stood up to extended use. Recommendations are to change the filter once a year (!) on the system we have. We planned on changing it every 6 months. Twice now, we have found that the filter has torn sometime before it was due to be changed. We will check it more frequently this time and see how long it lasts.The filter tears away from the top mounting bar and so it no longer filters.”
“Works great with the retrofit frame kit. I've had one of these collapse inside the housing though. It separated from the top metal bracket and was only hanging on at one end. I noticed the house was getting very dusty after only a month of new filter. That was only one in about 10 of these I've installed over the years though.”
