“The filter is pricey but it works well, lasts as long as it should and captures a lot of dust and other particles. It was surprisingly easy to install. When the heat pump was new I let the guys from the shop replace the filter. Then I watched them and decided to try it myself instead. It was quite easy to install, pretty much fool proof, so now I do it. When the system says change it, I change it.”
“I wish we had stayed with the regular, cheap filters that are in the walls and ceilings that you replace every month.We have 2 HVACs with a single, whole house filter per unit.We have to change them more frequently than the advertised 6+ months because of the sour smell when we switch from cool to heat, and then back again.At $45 per filter Xs 2 units Xs 2-3 Xs per year...that's a lot of money!Maybe?? the charcoal ones would help with the smell but they are twice as expensive.”
“Been using this brand for several years. Replaced every 6 months at first but they do seem to last a little longer -- 7 or 8 months. Probably some other factors inside your house besides the filter. But they are good quality filters.Ordered two from this seller recently. Only got one but second one came later after plumbingsupplyandmore contacted them.”
