16" x 25" Air Filter for Whole-House Air Purifier Models. Reviews

4 Rating 221 Reviews
This is a great filter, I upgraded from the 210 and I did notice the change in the air quality. We have a cat & dog and it has reduced the odor around my home. I also use an air purifier(HEPA) to help out. This is easy to replace/install and much cheaper than what my A/C tech wanted for his replacement.

I like that you only have to replace your filter once a year, and this filter does seem particularly well made. This has two advantages. First, you don't have to remember to change your filter every 3 months. Second, over the long term you will save money if you are like me and used to buy the high quality filters that filter pollen and other extremely pollutants, allergens, and contaminants.

We've been buying the 213 for years. We have to change every two to three months. We don't live on a dirt road or have children running in and out. Unsure why the dust bunnies love us so much. Yet I don't think the filter has anything to do with this. Just every two months it needs to be changed and we make it stretch to three months because these filters are so expensive. Any reason why they are so pricy? Any one else have to change as often?

Received the box of 2 filters as described via UPS. Seem to be well made. Easy to install. No problem with it sagging as described in other reviews. My unit has a track on top and on the bottom. These filters were $36 each. The old filter, installed by my HVAC repairman, cost $48. A satisfied customer. Will reorder when appropriate.

The product itself I give 5 Stars. As for the description I give it 2 Stars. I saw they had some that were cheaper and when I read the description it said the package would be damaged or possibly repackaged. Well the filters were damaged. I had straighten out the folds that were creased and get a set of pliers to bend the plastic at the top and bottom flat again so it would slide into the HVAC unit.

I have had my "new" Heater/Air Conditioner for about 4 years now. We have used these filters since replacing the unit. I have noticed a large decrease in dust and pet dander floating around the house. The bi-annual check up offers to replace the same filters at $90.00 each time; I believe that under $40.00 each is a good price. I change mine about once every quarter- at least 4 times per year...in my area, allergens are around 95% of the time though! Definitely a believer in Aprilaire.
