“Works as it should, the regulator appears to be set to 12 psi instead of the 15psi listed on the submittal sheet. That works out better as Amtrol expansion tanks are charged to 12 and the B&G regulators I have used in the past were 12psi.”
“The Boiler Fill Valve was too low in pressure and needed replacing. I originally had two separate pieces and this replaces the pair. Took 15 minutes to install. Works great. Pressure came right up.”
“Took three tries to get one that worked. And the third required me to use the backflow preventer from the second one. Problems: 1. did not regulate pressure 2. body cracked 3. Discard valve on backflow preventer constantly dripped. Plumbing Supply was quick to send a new one. No issues there.”
“Replaced my old Wilkin's pressure reducing feed valve and backflow preventer with this. Works fine. Was upset that I could not get a rebuild kit for the original Wilkin's, but it was very old. Hope rebuild kits are available for this down the road when needed. Still have a small leak in my boiler system, and this is keeping the pressure from dropping below where I have it set.”
“Residential Radiant System has been operating for 13 years. The system has 10 zones, two of which are outside loops. The system has never flushed, water chemistry never tested, and make-up water was setup from their private well. After testing boiler water chemistry, no antifreeze was detected. Installed an antifreeze holding tank, constant pressure demand pump, and a B911, 1/2" Bronze Combination Fill Valve & Backflow Preventer. System is now running like new with great heat transfer and correct antifreeze protection.”
“Good item: usually both are replaced at once, so having them preassembled saved a lot on installation time: also, by being close coupled, allows installation where old one was with minimal piping.”
