“This pump is very easy to install if you have experience in running water lines (either copper or pex) and the knowledge of sump pump installation. I have not seen in full operation, but I have been able to test it and runs quite and expels water at a good rate.”
“Best water driven sump pump backup for it's price point. I have installed dozens of them through my Business, www.ToledoBasements.com . All of my customers have been completely satisfied with this products performance.”
“Fantastic idea, and definitely relieves anxiety around main sump pump failure or power outage, particularly as we have had severe water damage in our basement due to a previous main pump failure during a heavy rainstorm. We'd give it five stars, but haven't done more than basic tests after installation, so we're trusting it will work under actual emergency conditions (although no reason to think it will not!).”
“Easy install with basic plumbing skills, works great! Would be better with an adjustable float but satisfied with unit. More peace of mind than battery backup system.”
“Works great, gives you the peace of mind you need if you have a flood-prone basement. I replaced a marine-battery backup sump system with the Liberty Pumps SJ10 and the decision was a no-brainer. I no longer have to worry about my basement flooding in the event I lose power for more than a few hours during a storm. This pump moves more than enough water per minute than my perimeter drains can dump into the sump pit. Install was easy, and the shark-bite fitting made the connection easy and quick. My only complaint is that since I had to mount this to a pedestal main sump pump and my check valve for it was rather large and awkwardly placed, I could not lower the SJ10 where I ideally wanted it to be. Extending the pickup tube is easy, but the float only allowed so much adjustment with the metal rod and rubber grommets. I still love my purchase and would buy another if anything ever happened to this one!UPDATE 3/1/17: Overnight we had a terrible storm. At 2 AM we lost power, fearing the worst I went downstairs to inspect the sump pit. Water was rushing into the pit and surpassing the level where the main pump would usually kick in.. I waited anxiously and sure enough, the Liberty Pump kicked in and saved the day. It had NO problem at all keeping up with the inbound flow. It's 8am, raining still, and I'm at work, but still without power at home. Had I still had my old battery backup system it would have been dead by now and my house flooded, but this Liberty Pump has me here worry-free. Now my only concern is if the power will be back up before my milk spoils instead!”
“This is a good deal for a backup pump. I recommend it for anyone that has a sump pump and has city water available. I wish I had it for the extended power outage here in the Northeast over Halloween.”
