Purchased to replace an old not operational valve. New valve was a perfect replacement and worked great.

Adding a mixing valve and a Aquastat with adjustable differential cuts costs of heating hot water by 2/3rds! Set tank at 145 degrees, Aquastat differential at 30 degrees. If I do not use any hot water during the day, the boiler will NOT start for about 36 hours (instead of once or twice a day). If I do use hot water (shower), there is enough hot water to take a shower without boiler reheating the water storage tank.

Used this valve on boiler tank-less coil replacement job. Affords excellent control of hot water temp with much less noticeable fluctuation. Also like the adjustment knob locking feature. Unit will fit Taco unions and footprint if they are already in place.

I purchased this valve to replace an old one just like it in my basement. Our water is very hard and as a result, the old valve ceased working. The hard water deposits built up inside the old valve and eventually we were only getting cold water through the valve. The new valve only took me about 20 minutes to install. I just had to make sure I had enough plumbers tape on the threads, and it was tight enough to prevent leaking. Now we are getting nice hot showers again. And the mixing temperature is adjustable. I personally recommend this valve over the model with lower temperature settings.

I had another one of these installed for our solar hot water heating system. It stopped working. I opened it up and it had quite a bit of hard water scaling. I tried to clean it out, but that didn't fix it, so I purchased this and have it back installed quite quickly, and set easily. The sticker thermometer helped the process. I would purchase again.
