“The Honeywell/Sparco AM101 installed easily with no problems. I choose the sweat-union model, 3/4". Setting the delivered temperature was easy using the included temperature indicator strip. I had no apparent CW leak-through as I've seen reported elsewhere with this model. I also monitor my temperatures with an 8 channel datalogger in conjunction with the solar system and the datalogging shows consistent spot-on delivered DHW temperature.”
“It makes rattling noise when mixing (loud when one shower is in use, goes away when multiple faucets are used). I have read the instructions and tried to follow them, but still had an issue. To adjust temperature, you need to 'loosen' the top screw and pull the handle off somewhat. Instructions don't tell you how much to loosen, how far to pull the handle and what effect to expect. So don't repeat my mistake and don't apply any force to the handle. It should freely rotate when in the correct position. I ended up removing the handle and adjusting just by hand - it rotates so easily.”
