“This was a definitely positive addition! We are a swim and tennis club with a 100 gallon DHW storage tank. By utilizing this valve we were able to raise our water temp in the storage tank to 170 degrees for increased sanitary conditions without causing any issue with the temp of the shower system.”
“I'm using it to mix cold water with hot water from my heat exchanger for my wood stove, but I'm having trouble regulating the temperature of my hot water.”
“With the new lead law in effect most manufacturers are clearly marking their Products on the castings and explaining the markings on their websites. This makes complying to this new law not too difficult, you just have to spend a little extra time to make sure the products meet the new code. Honeywell however has made this exceedingly difficult with this product as they just marked the box lead Free and not the body of the valve. The body of the old valve and the body of the new valve appear identical. I called Honeywell to inquire about the markings and how I could document that the valve that I had purchased met the new lead law. The person on the phone assured me that the valve met the new code, So I said to him, Should I just tell the local inspectors that the guy on the phone said it was ok. Needless to say he was not amused and neither was I as he was evading the obvious. After this exchange the man's advice was, If I am not satisfied by the product then maybe I should try another manufacturer. This item was an integral part of a larger installation that could not be performed until this issue was worked out, it caused unneeded costly delays. To avoid this and other issues in the future I think I will take the mans advice.”
