1" NPT Mixing Valve, 70 Degree F - 145 Degree F (Lead Free) Reviews

4.8 Rating 40 Reviews
This was a definitely positive addition! We are a swim and tennis club with a 100 gallon DHW storage tank. By utilizing this valve we were able to raise our water temp in the storage tank to 170 degrees for increased sanitary conditions without causing any issue with the temp of the shower system.

I ended up putting in 3 mixing valves in 5 years, but the 2nd one was defective. In the future I'll follow the maintenance procedure recommended for cleaning the valve spring. Plumbing Supply was very good about crediting me for the defective valve - no hassles at all.

I bought this valve for a project where we had to reduce the temperature of the water without knowing whether it would work, and it did.

Perfect mixing valve if you like your water hot (up to about 140 degrees F), for dish and laundry washer and very hot shower. Certainly the valve will mix much cooler, but for me it is very nice that it will allow mixing much hotter.

Easy to install and set up, lets me raise the temp on my water heater, without worry of my kids burning themselves with too hot of water.

Installed on hot and cold lines from oil burner coil hot water system. The water was coming out initially as high as 175F. With this valve installed I have it regulated to a narrow band of 118F-120F. Now I have protection in case my grandson turns on the hot water and sticks his hand in it. I've also noticed that there is more consistency in the hot water as the temperature in the boiler around the coil drops to its minimum.
