It has been working for us for several months.It is listed as requiring professional installation. THIS IS IMPORTANT. The installation process includes answering a series of questions about your HVAC system like cooling-only or heatpump, single-stage or two-stage compressor, gas, oil, or electric heat, and about 50 more. My old thermostat was an earlier version of this unit and still worked enough for me to access the settings. All of the settings were exactly the same for the new thermostat. I wrote them all down, photographed the wiring connections, and had no problems. I saved hundreds of dollars. I found the Honeywell_TH8321WF1001_U_User_Manual on the internet on the www.herculesindustries.com site. You might look at the steps required before ordering.I COULD NOT HAVE INSTALLED IT WITHOUT THE SETTINGS FROM THE OLD UNIT. If you know about HVAC systems, or can access the settings from your old thermostat, the price is great. This item will work with many different systems, but does not have an auto-setup mode. The picture is my old unit and is all the wiring that you have to connect, but that's the easy part. Good luck.”
“The only thing that makes me take away one star (and if I'm wrong please correct me) is that on the remote app (iOS device phone/pad) it does not indicate if the unit is running, only indicates room temp and thermostat setting, along with outdoor temp. If it told me if the unit was running so I could judge temp settings while I'm away from home, that would be perfect.”
