“Replaced my old 80 gal tank with a new 50 gal tank and was worried about running out of hot water as both me and my teenager like to take long showers. Got this after reading the reviews and couldn’t have bee more happier with the quality of the product and the ease of install. The shark bite connections make it super easy. The only issue i had was a small leak on the cold water connect because it doesn’t have a washer inside and I guess i didn’t have a good seal with the teflon tape.I redid that joint using Rectorseal Pipe Thread Sealant and bingo.Highly recommend to anyone going from 80 gal to 50 gal tank. We havent run out of water even when we have had guests.”
“We bought a super insulated plastic tank water heater, after changing the thermostats, several times, trying to lower water temp's. Using this water mixing valve solved the problem. We have a walk-in tub and the ability we now have to turn up the temp of the water in the tank will result in more gallons of 115 degree water, past the valve. If you are willing to pay for the higher energy costs, that result.”
“UPDATE: I installed this is late 2019 and as of Sept '22 I have run out of hot water only a handful of times after heavy use in a 5 person family. I also wanted to add that after 14 years my old hot water tank died. I was able to clean this valve up and put it on my new tank without any changes to the temperature or pressure that I'm used to. Excellent product!”
“I was really surprised when the county inspector said we needed an anti-scald device on the new tub installation. New shower valves come with anti-scald, but why would tubs?I was facing having to bust out a bunch of tiles to install an individual scald protector when I ran across this.It gives ALL your faucets in the whole house anti-scald. Our plumber swapped it out in minutes. It has other advantages of being able to keep your hot water heater at a higher temperature to prevent bacteria growth. All I know is it saved me time, money, and materials.Highly recommend.”
“If you are at all handy, this is easy to install. I can now set my water heater to 160F, and “temper” the output to 120. So I don’t run out of hot water, but I don’t have to worry about anyone getting burned.”
