Tank Booster Pro with Breaded Hose & Temperature Gauge Reviews

4.7 Rating 128 Reviews
It went in very well. Make sure you use a good quality of Teflon tape to help prevent leaks. The water is plenty hot I might have to turn the temp down a little. I also have plenty of hot water.

This works really well on top of our new AOSmith Signature 50-gallon water heater. The temperature gauge on top of this unit measures the outgoing water temp to the house. I added an additional gauge, installed below the booster, to also measure the water temp as produced by the water heater. Was able to insulate the unit with rubber insulators from HD, much more pliable than the usual foam pipe insulation.

Unfortunately mine came without any of the washers or washer-strainers that were indicated in the instructions. As I'd already cut and started soldering my connections, I had to make due and run to a hardware store to piece together a solution. I contacted Cash Acme, and while their CS team was responsive, after two separate replacement orders, I still don't have all the missing pieces, as they don't seem to have a list of all the parts that it should actually come with.It has made for a lot more hot water in our house, however a plumber with 30 years experience saw it and wasn't impressed with it, saying it's a band-aid to an incorrectly sized solution.

Does exactly what it is intended to do. My water heater thermostat is set at 145 and what is supplied is 140 just as it's advertised. No more scalding burns when you least expect it.
