Seems to be working fine but the factory setting was only about 105 degrees F.

I had to replace my electric water heater. I wanted a larger one but with the limited space I decided to go with this mixing valve. It more than doubles the useful capacity of the tank. I have the Tank set at 140 degrees and the valve set to deliver water at 125 degrees. I was able to mount it sideways so it did not add that much height to the install. The temperature adjustment is a bit tricky. Make small changes and follow the directions carefully. Overall very happy that I am in abundant hot water.

Had to ding one star because package was missing parts, particularly the coupler than connects the valve to the hot water supply. Purchased the same product locally (and verified that all parts were in the box), actual valve works great. Perfect shower temperature every time.

If the insides of this unit work as good as the outside looks, it should last for ever. Polished/finished fixture. Its too bad it has to spend its life in the water heater closet. I got this one for solar as a safety since solar heated water can get pretty hot. Even without the solar connected yet, the temperature adjustment is discreet and easy to change. I had not thought of the concept of heating the water in the tank higher and tempering it down with the valve. Not sure is saves energy but makes for a lot more hot water when tempered down for use.

Works fantastic when properly installed. Our 40 gallon water heater can now fill an 80 gallon tub with extra hot water to spare.

I am not a pro plumber but have a decent amount of plumbing experience, mostly in the rigging of stuff to make it work arena :) I found this thing to be pretty easy to install, all things considered.Due to the location of my water heater, I put 90 degree elbows on both inlet and outlet to make it easier to add all of this additional hardware. I was able to get this installed with zero trips to the hardware store, which is a rarity for me. Some reviewers complained of missing gaskets but mine had all parts needed included. You will need a rubber gasket for each connection except the connections directly to your water heater inlet and outlet. For those, teflon tape should be used. Once I got it all installed, I tested and found the water temp was 120 degrees on the money without me making any adjustments. I set my water heater thermostats to 150 degrees upper and 145 degrees lower to maximize my hot water. We are a family of 10 with one 50 gallon water heater. We can all take showers at night now without having to wait for the hot water to build back up.
