Tankless Water Heater, Residential, Electric, 11 kw Reviews

Rheem makes a high quality product. I've owned several. The biggest challenge is always determining which size model will be adequate. Let me just say that this model is PLENTY for our kitchen sink. And, it would be fine for a single shower use in anywhere other than the Artic Circle. You'd definitely want a larger model for whole-house use. Next, do realize that all tankless water heaters require about half-gallon to run through them before truly hot water arrives. There's no way around it... meaning, 'instant' isn't really instant. Lastly, calcium builds-up on all water immersed devices over time, even these smaller model tankless heaters. So ALL tankless water heaters should be installed with the service valves. The valves enable you to run concentrated vinegar (sold on plumbingsupplyandmore) or CLR through the heater once or twice a year. Doing so will remove the inevitable calcium that'll eventually reduce efficiency and even stop the various sensors from doing their job. Troubleshooting these units is no fun, especially when you're about to take a shower! De-calcifying is the key to these things' longevity.

This tankless water heater is small but heats up our shower in a jiffy! No more waiting for hot water or losing hot water during a shower.

The only reason I'm not giving it a perfect score is because we did not hook up all 4 connections therefore we're not getting the full effects of the unit. We plan on hooking up the other 2 soon.

Just finished installation. If you have a good working knowledge of plumbing and electrical, this install isn't hard. However, the wiring was tricky. After installing, the heater works great and heats quickly.

The unit itself is excellent! Installation took longer than expected, and I had to buy the correct parts myself, but now it works perfectly. It's not a hard job if you get the right parts.

The on demand heater gives me hot water quickly and keeps going in my home office annex. It's perfect for its intended use (essentially supporting a one office/one bedroom annex).

We have a two-bedroom, one-bath house, and this hot water heater has no problem heating water for us. It was very simple to install and worked right away.

The product is easy to install but you do need 4 40 amp greasers and space for them in your panel. As long as you have the needed power the system works ok. I loved being able to get rid of my 50galon tank and have more storage space as my home is small. However two things I don’t like 1. The lights do flicker somewhat when hot water is being used which I can live with. 2. The hot water is not as constant as my tank system.
