Installed by my plumber in Oct 2017, purchased from plumbing supply. In December 2020, a leak from ABOVE the water heater caused the LeakBreaker to trip. It could not be reset without removing the power head from the shutoff valve. Taco has refused to acknowledge the problem with their valve, promoting instead a software change to the control unit. My plumber has replaced this unit with a different manufacturer's product.

Got 2 of them. One worked just like it should. I can also shut off the water supply by pushing a button instead of having to crank a valve now. Called about the other’s defective sensor and was told by Home Depot I would have to return the whole assembly for warranty, not just the part. Since I wasn’t going to undo the whole thing, had to find & replace the sensor on my own dime.

Easily installed. Our city claims to have great water. My only issue is after 2 to 3 months, a film or residue adheres to the valve ball and prevents complete shut off and opening. If it had a little more power, it might be able to operate to clean off the residue.

Easy install. Quality components. Taco can be trusted. There are less expensive leak detecting systems, but when I saw Taco, I went with it. Well worth the extra money.

Installed on main water line to hot water tank. In a 2nd-floor condo, if the tank goes bad, the water valve shuts off, and I put a pump on the tank pan to pump away the 40 gallons.
