The product that I purchased was to replace the original one that was installed 13 yrs ago. I received this product within 2 days of ordering, and was installed a couple of days later. Works great and very happy with it.

I use two of these as zone valves for my backup gas boiler/DHW heater (directs/cuts off water to DHW tank and emergency heat from boiler). The Taco model it replaced had a less powerful motor, and it would stop responding to a call if it wasn't able to reach home position (fully open or fully closed). This model is much more robust. Stronger plastic, more powerful motor, better design.

The complimentary Taco Zone Sentry Valve to our patented "Neo-Gravity Hydronic Heating Appliance(TM)" using Taco Delta-T Distribution Technology. We have over 250,000 hours on our Appliances without a failure. Properly configured the Taco Zone Sentry Status Lamps negate the need for a Zone Valve Relay Panel. See our attached pics .....

This was my first time buying from Plumbing Supply. They had the lowest price I could find online and extremely fast shipping. I will be back.

Had the old version of this unit it was very noisy and only lasted about 3 years before it failed. The new model is quiet hopefully more dependable. I can't blame Plumbing Supply for these issues as they are not the manufacturer. Plumbing Supply was prompt in getting the order to me in a timely fashion.

Just replaced a couple of ancient Eaton Dole Zone valves that I couldn't get replacement heat motors for. I like the ease with which the head can be replaced. The indicator light is a nice feature and the override seems easy enough to turn. So far these are working great.

I'm generally neutral about Taco's products, but these zone valves are quite a bit better than others. They can be mounted in any orientation, which eliminates hassles when I install, and they have the lowest VA draw of any zone valve I know of, 1.44 VA, meaning I don't need to upsize the transformer very often. I'm surprised the other zone valve makers haven't copied this design yet.
