“Had the old version of this unit it was very noisy and only lasted about 3 years before it failed. The new model is quiet hopefully more dependable. “I'm generally neutral about Taco's products, but these zone valves are quite a bit better than others. They can be mounted in any orientation, which eliminates hassles when I install, and they have the lowest VA draw of any zone valve I know of, 1.44 VA, meaning I don't need to upsize the transformer very often. I'm surprised the other zone valve makers haven't copied this design yet.”
