“I used this in a hydronic floor heat and hot water recirculating loop for my house. I love these valves over the other type because they work up to 125psig. It's a ball valve so it positive seals for no flow through or back flow. Unlike others that only work under low flow conditions. Easy to see operation. LEDs on valve confirm operating for easy troubleshooting.”
“Bought 3 to split my whole house single zone hydronic heat into 3. Taco's documentation was really clear (except as noted below), which gave me the confidence to do this job myself. Only been up and running for a couple of days, but have so far operated flawlessly. There is an audible click when the motor actuates, but these are in the basement so there's no noise issue for me. Controlled by a Honeywell HZ322 panel and TH6320R1004 wireless thermostats. The only hiccup was that I expected these valves to charge immediately upon connection to power, but they don't actually power up until there's a call for heat.”
“I had a difficult problem to solve. The original Taco Zone valve had quit working after 8 years of constant use and being a sweat connection I was not looking forward to replumbing this copper section. After looking at the pictures on this website I took a chance that the new one although completely different design might have the same brass designed valve as the original. It did! So all I had to do was pop off the old and insert the new. A five minute job. Now my radiant heat is working perfectly again. Thanks Taco and thanks Plumbing Supply for your prompt delivery and hassle free service. It actually arrived a couple of days BEFORE they quoted. Yes I will be doing ALL my business with Plumbing Supply in the future, better prices, better service and a much better business model of serving the public than that other company-you know the one with: "no returns" policy.”
“Being in the heating service trade for 50 years, servicability and dependability are important to myself and customers. Taco Zone Sentry zone valves are both. They are the only valves I use these days. And, although I always lean towards using local suppliers,Plumbing Supply offers reasonable pricing and fine service. Back to the Zone Sentries. They are the most easily trouble-shot valves on the market. Don't even need a pocket screw-driver.”
“I installed two of these inside an interior 2 x 4 stud wall between the master bedroom and the living room. These replaced two wonderfully silent Dole valves which are no longer available. One was weeping a bit but I replaced both. The two valves both feed off a Tee coming up from the boiler in the basement, one for the master bedroom and one for the living room. The zone valves are compact and easy to install and seem well made. My only complaint is that when they operate they produce the normal muted, whooshing sound followed by a creaking sound as the valve comes to its fully open or closed position followed by 3 more creaking sounds as it tries 3 more times to make sure the valve has moved fully. Wish the firmware for these valves could be changed to eliminate the extra "tries" at powering the valves. The extra noise wakes us up sometimes. Too bad these can't be relocated in the basement in my installation.”
“The existing "honeysmell" valves were being pushed open by the system pump. The whole house, 6 zones, were heating if only one was calling for heat, not ...”
