“Been having good luck with these have used around 100 in the last 5 years. No failures. Also they require a lot less power than your standard HW zone valve. Easy wiring terminals and easy operator removal.”
“Not a big Taco guy, use Grundfos pumps almost exclusively. The Taco zone valves are absolutely superior to everything else I have seen so far. They put a lot of thought into these. They're easier to install, much easier to service down the road as well. Out-flow a Honeywell by quite a bit as well.”
“When I ordered a 1" ball valve, I kind of expected the valve to have been 1". Only the threads are 1". The interior of the valve is about 3/8" so flow is seriously restricted. Won't work for my application. I wish there was somewhere on this site or in the information that would have shown the measurement of the actual valve itself.”
“This is the first time I have used this brand of zone valve. It works well and easy to use. Very straightforward valve and extremely effective. I used regular silver solder with a wet rag wrapped around middle of valve body and it worked very well. Just be careful you don't put too much heat on your solder joint. The interior looks more like a regular ball valve and I have never ruined one because of sweating, so it seems safer to sweat than the Honeywell version.”
