1" 2-Way Zone Sentry Press-Zone Valve, Normally Closed Reviews

4.6 Rating 51 Reviews
I needed a 100% close off zone valve with a high Cv rating for an indirect water heater. The original valves were pushed through by the circulator, also replaced by Plumbing Supply. My local stores didn't have them in stock and wanted $30 more per valve. Usually I would not buy online in case there was an issue. With Plumbing Supply, I get face to face service over the phone-nice!

So it says it takes 5 seconds to open, however it takes up to 30 seconds for the capacitor to charge before that happens. So in my case, the boiler faults out before the valve opens. Not happy.

I bought this valve and did not look forward to un-soldering the other valve which had a rather obsolete operator. Try to realize my relief when I found out I could just switch the operator. Of course this switching is only going to work with a certain valve. I am pleased with this valve.

This valve is excellent. It can be installed in any position and the "head" can be installed in either of two positions. The delay between power on and the valve rotating should be noted and the internal shunt should be used if this valve will be deadheading a pump.

Have been using these Taco files for years, have yet to have any failures! Great design with manual open, easy, removable, head, wiring, plug, and indicator light. Will continue to purchase handful at a time with continued great pricing.
