“I use this as a zone valve for geothermal heating and cooling (directs/cuts off water to a fan coil unit). The Taco model it replaced had a less powerful motor, and it would stop responding to a call if it wasn't able to reach home position (fully open or fully closed). This model is much more robust. Stronger plastic, more powerful motor, better design.”

“I use these 2 way zone valves exclusively. I love the ease of installation and adaptability for tight locations. I use them for commercial applications on heating and chilling lines. I would stay away from the 1/2" 3 way valves though. Their CV rating is minimal at best and are hard to use for retrofit applications. I've installed hundreds of these and rarely have had a problem.”
