“easy to install, almost idiot proof. the directions say loosen the screw then pull on the adjustment knob and turn it to adjust water temp. should also say how far to loosen the screw. I found out it has to be loosened up almost all the way. which is over a half inch.”
“This valve is a nicely machined part. I like the built in unions and check valves - makes installation a lot easier. Only time will tell if the thermostatic element will last (most of the previous brands that I have installed lasted only about 3 years.) This model allows me to adjust it to meet the new code ( < = 120 degrees). The AM100C1070-US-1LF range 70-120 could not be set greater than about 105 degrees - and everyone complained about the "cold" water.”
“Installation easy. However, out of the 100 or so threaded fittings in the system I just put in, all 3 of the female threads on the unions leaked/blew out the PTFE paste. Being an engineer, I used calipers on the minor diameter of the threads, and they were .015 larger than spec for NPT. In other words, they may have cut the threads with a worn tap. I finally got them to seal with 4 wraps of thread tape AND Rectorseal paste. Otherwise, the valve works fine. I would recommend, but beware.”
“Found item that was advertised here. It was 30% cheaper than amazon's open box. I immediately took it, it came ahead of time and was brand new. Good company, good product, first class service.”
