Taco makes products that replace this but when you're doing repairs the original product is much easier. These valves were very popular. plumbing supply and more had it in stock and shipping was fast!

Exact replacement for a 30+ year old one that was sticking. No fuss (well, sweat soldering is not a lot of fun, but that's not the valve's fault and I wanted to not change things up since I'll possibly replace the aging furnace next year anyway). So if another one sticks, (I have 4 zones) I'll buy it again.

The valve works great, just can't believe it cost more for the repair kit than the whole valve itself. These valves last about 3-4 years at the most.

the product cannot stand water with minerals in it, and taco's guarantee is worthless according to the chicago areas rep, the seat sticks, you just buy a new one taco won't help, design wise I can't help, all I know is some last a couple of months, some last years.

Installed 7 Taco 571 zone valves November of 1985. They have given me maintenance free service since then. I have a few that have become somewhat finicky over the past year or so and am in the process of replacing them along with replacing my EFM 520 coal stoker that has been flawless for 35 years. Most of the 571 valves still work as expected. Fair price with quick delivery.
