“Don't know why, but both type L and type M tubing was 'loose' in the ports. I took the valve apart to solder it because of the heat required to heat the thick brass. I was able to make a tight seal even though the pipe wasn't snug in the port as it should have been. Tip - use a small C clamp to hold the valve in place when you screw the plate back on after soldering, it's much easier to compress the spring that way. Besides that issue, valve works flawlessly.”
“I used this product to repair my own heating system. The product is what I ordered. I received it on the morning of the second day. What more could I expect?”
“Taco makes products that replace this but when you're doing repairs, the original product is much easier. These valves were very popular. plumbing supply and more had it in stock and shipping was fast!”
“Had a zone valve fail. Hot water was circulating in this loop when any zone called for heat. I bought this just for the inside valve. I am using the valve, spring and motor. It’s cheaper than the rebuild kit.”
“Was having problems with my heating system and decided to replace the four zone valves before working on the furnace itself, Decided to replace the valve and the controller. Controller is easy; just turn to take out and turn to put in new one and then reattach wires. Valve takes plumbing skill so I had my son-in-law do it. Took him about an hour. Now heating system works like new.”
