The valve works great, just can't believe it cost more for the repair kit than the whole valve itself. These valves last about 3-4 years at the most.

My brother built his daughter a house about 25 years ago and we installed hydronic baseboard heat. Taco zone valves that are still working. I replaced motorized valves in my house 4 years ago with Taco 520 series valves. Also replaced 2 floor radiant heat circulators with Taco Mod 005-F2-3 circulators. Working good so far.

Installed 7 Taco 571 zone valves November of 1985. They have given me maintenance free service since then. I have a few that have become somewhat finicky over the past year or so and am in the process of replacing them along with replacing my EFM 520 coal stoker that has been flawless for 35 years. Most of the 571 valves still work as expected.

As part of a preventive maintenance project I used two of these to replace the two existing Taco zone valves

TACO ZONE VALVES LAST THE LONGEST ARE THE QUIETEST AND ARE FAR SUPERIOR TO THE COMPETITION. THE ONLY ZONE VALVE FOR THE LONG RUN.

I used this 1" 572 zone valve to install a zone on a boiler for a hot water storage tank.
