“Needs better construction. The legs that hold the circuit board to chassis are plastic and weak. These were damaged during shipping, causing indicator led lights to be misaligned. Functional but a fail on robust build! Please improve Taco.”
“Used on an old gas fired forced hot water furnace to replace a Honeywell 845A relay that was sticking. I like the status LED's. The only problem was the plastic cover would not clear the right angle connector for the armored flex cable to the circulator. I was forced to trim the bottom flange of the plastic cover to get it on properly even though I was using one of the 2 pre-punched holes designed for the connection. Also, be very careful not to over tighten the terminal screws.”
“Bought and installed it all on my own. Tech was charging way too much and tried to make it sound really complicated to install. Took about an hour to install. I have 3 zones and all is working well. Love that I can now see the lights so I can know exactly which zone is calling for heat. Looks very sturdy and also comes with some extra fuses in the box a huge plus.”
“One of the zone switching relay went bad as winter was starting in pa. I ordered one from plumbingsupplyandmore. It was here the next day, It was the right one and had heat in that zone for the evening. Still working well(2 months)so far. Thanks again plumbingsupplyandmore for the fast response. Will defiantly be back.”
“Great unit, very good price and the installation was a breeze. Thanks for the fast delivery. hopefully it will provide long service. Replacement was straightforward the mounting holes were in the same location and the configuration was otherwise identical to the old unit. I can't compare similar units from other manufacturers I have only had the Taco unit. I do like the led lights indicating which zone(s) are powered.”
