“I have a dehumidifier in my crawl space. The built in reservoir and pump seem to be less well made than the dehumidifier itself. I don't know if that is a common problem, but it might be since only a fraction of dehumidifier users even use the feature. The pump system failed and I decided that spending $400 for a new similar dehumidifier and then disposing of all the refrigerants was not something I wanted to do if I could avoid it. As is common in such units, I was easily able to configure the dehumidifier for gravity feed. I determined that the unit worked fine in that mode. Then I bought this pump unit for a fraction of what a new dehumidifier would have cost. The pump unit is well rated and seems well made. It passed the initial tests and is now installed. I really like the independent "reservoir full" contact, which I am using to disable the dehumidifier in case the pump fails. Time will tell how ling the pump unit lasts, but replacing it for $60 really beats replacing the whole dehumidifier, especially since that would involve the disposal if refrigerants.”
“I am the homeowner and my HVAC professional gave me the part number, I went to the website, very easy to order, pay and ship. He put them in and they are currently working. Thank you!”
