“23 yr old pump wouldn't shut off. Went to Lowes and HD. Both wanted $94. I knew plumbingsupplyandmore was cheaper because I had researched earlier in the year when I bought a new check valve for it. Ordered an exact replacement at 3p.m. 5 a.m. next day, dog barks, plumbingsupplyandmore is in the driveway. 5 minutes later, my new condensate pump is plugged in and working. Took the old pump and replaced the switch for 6.$, also available on plumbingsupplyandmore . Now, I have a spare!”
“I replaced a 20 year old pump for my furnace/ AC unit. This was the same size and fit nicely. It is well built, runs quietly, and has good pumping strength. The only problem is the check valve doesn’t work. The description listed online states it has a built in check valve and shows a black colored 3/8†barb but my product arrived with a white color barb and no check valve. Funny enough, plumbingsupplyandmore shows a $6 check valve as a commonly purchased product for people who buy this pump.”
“Pump came quickly, next day as promised when my original little giant pump died after about 10 years of use. Heat continued to operate despite the condensate pump not working so I had quite a bit of water on the floor in basement by the time I noticed the old pump wasn't operating. My gas furnace, A/C and dehumidifier are in basement and this unit pumps up condensate water to ground level. Easily wires to your existing furnace and also needs a110 AC outlet. This unit was an exact replacement so all drains lined up and the safety was easy to wire. Once installed, back to normal and I picked up an extra unit to add to my key spare items that I keep on hand.”
“Always had issues with condensation in summer and tripping over the hose that runs across the basement floor to the drain from my furnace. Omg so easy to install. I had hose run up and across the ceiling of the basement and run to the washer drain in 10 minutes. In 30 I had the AC running and reducing the high humidity in here. I used a big cup and poured into the reservoir before turning on the AC and plugging in this. Have to run the in pipe at an angle for it to work the float. But that was no issue. I have it straight down and the last foot at a slight angle and she's working like a dream. I'm ready for summer weather. It also has 3 inlets. So I'm getting a new dehumidifier and installing it next to the furnace so I can run hose from it to this pump and won't have to worry if dehumidifier is full cuz it will get pumped out. Not sure why I didn't do this sooner but this is my first house and I'm still learning even after 7 years here. It's so quiet I never hear it.”
“A perfect condensate pump for my furnace! Just stick the output tube from the furnace into the pump, then attach the waste pump to the unit. Run the waste tube to a drain or sink and your done. The unit acts like a sump pump. When water inside reaches a specific level, the float switch kicks in and runs the unit. As soon as the water is drained the units goes back into standby mode.No issues so far after three months.”
“This new pump works great. I use it to evacuate condensate to the washing machine's drain pipe, both central AC condensate and basement dehumidifier condensate, at the same time. When they break: The old, identical pump had failed. Searching online, the failures are tied to the failure of the electrical switch. Not the case for my old pump. The float in my old pump developed micro cracks around the top of the sides, flooded, and then the float would not rise or fall correctly. I drilled out the float, drained the water out of the float, sealed the two drill holes up, including the old micro cracks, with marine sealant. This old pump will become my backup pump in case my new pump ever fails.Slime did build up in the old unit's tank over time, so I will try adding a couple drops of bleach a couple of times per season. I did the original cleanout of the condensate flow lines with a vinegar solution.”
“I had our dehumidifer running to a drain with a standard garden hose but it would get plugged up from time to time. This seemed like a perfect solution to run the output to a sanitary tub instead. Super quick to install, the only issue was that the included tubing was too short for the needed run, so I had to purchase that separately. Perhaps the better option was to buy the pump without tubing...”
