Having only ever worn synthetic belts, the quality of this item also blew me away. I got the black belt for versatility with black and blue jeans, but I’m probably going to get a brown belt as well, because these fine leather goods produce so much serotonin every time I use them!”
“I ordered this belt from Popov because of an ad I saw on IG. I have been buying Grant Stone boots since the beginning of 2023 and I would buy a matching belt with each pair of boots. I bought a pair of crimson(brown) cxl Ottawa boots first, then a pair of Dune(natural) cxl Diesel’s, and then a pair of Black cxl Diesel’s with a leather sole and contrasting natural welt. I have a matching pair of belt with each pair from GS. I could not find a good match for my black cxl Diesel’s because I the boots have a natural welt, midsole, and outsole. The black cxl leather belt from Popov matched perfectly. It has a natural rough out backing which matches my boots perfectly. I have been looking for a matching pair for a long long time.
When I received it, I was shocked at the quality of the leather. I was expecting to get a leather that was more like pleather and I expected the buckle to be cheap aluminum like the ones they sell on Amazon. Instead the leather is from Horween and the buckle is made of solid brass but it’s in silver rather than yellow. If the buckle was yellow then the belts would match 100% but because the buckle is silver it only matches 95% which is close enough. There are 7 eyelets and I wear a size 30 pants so I ordered the size 32 and it’s perfect for me. I can still smell the leather and I know this leather is good because it has natural striations and it is nice and thick. I can see that this belt will last me more than a decade if not more. I would suggest conditioning the belt when you first get it with a little of Venetian Shoe Cream because you don’t know how long the belt has been hanging on the wall before it was sent out to you. I truly love this belt and for the price of $60 it is a steal. The belts I have been buying directly from GS to match my boots were all $95 which isn’t super expensive but it is expensive.
I truly have been looking everywhere for a belt like this one. I even looked on Esty but I never bought because I didn’t trust that the product would be a good one but I liked their designs. I wished I had found out about Popov a long time ago. It would’ve saved me a lot of money and I would have better belts. The only suggestion I have for Popov is perhaps giving the customer a choice between silver or yellow buckles. I would’ve gladly paid $10 more for the belt if the buckle was yellow brass rather than silver. Heck I would still buy it at $20 more for the option to have yellow or silver hardware!

“I've been wearing my new Popov Leather full grain leather belts for a few weeks now and I love them! They are thick but soft and what attracted me to them the most was the buckles - I wanted silver, simple, and not whimpy looking.
These are perfect and I'm still going to get the ones I wanted most - the Heritage Brown & natural - when they are both back in Stock. With all 4 colors, I'll probably never buy another belt in my life!
