“I spent a Saturday afternoon several weeks ago going to no fewer than nine clothing and department stores looking for what I thought should be a ubiquitous item: a black leather belt. Not a black leather belt with studs, etchings, designs or funky buckles. Just a nice piece of leather that would wrap around my waist and keep my pants up without drawing any attention to itself.
