“I can't think of an adequate antonym for "flimsy" or "cheap", but everything about this belt (and the heritage brown belt I bought) feels robust. The leather is thick and supple, and I'm pretty sure that will proper care it will not be cracking or peeling the way that cheaper belts or leather goods do. The hardware also has a reassuring weight, and doesn't at all feel like the kind of cheap base metal with a stainless plating that will eventually wear. The stitching and construction also feel excellent.
All in all, this feels like a belt that I'll be using for a long time and for that it seems well worth the price.”
“The very definition of quality. Second item I’ve bought from Popov and definitely not the last. The belt comes in a nice black bag and it is true genuine leather. As soon as you touch and feel the belt you know it’s built with quality. I highly recommend.”
“This belt is thin vs my expectations and compared with the photos online. I would have preferred a thicker, slightly stiffer gauge leather so that it is easier to thread through belt loops of jeans.. Secondly, I would have preferred the edges of the belt dyed black also. As is, it is raw in color. Lastly, I would prefer the hardware was removable, as it is riveted, not screwed together. These criticisms are not deal breakers, however, I would pay to have these upgrades.”
“Very thick quality leather and feels very sturdy. Does take a bit of breaking into, as the belt loop is a bit tight to slip the belt end into at first. Will have to come back and add onto this review after a year!”
