“Overall rugged quality, I'm sure it'll last me a lifetime. Love the CXL leather. However, a bit of QC issue with the back and sides of the belt, with leather rough-out side fraying significantly. Not a huge deal, but would expect more from belts in this price range.”
Hi Joseph - this is not normal, sorry to see what's happening here. Sometimes the underside (or fleshside) of leather can be cut during the splitting process at the tannery. It almost looks like that’s happening here. It can be hard to see this before we ship out a belt with such tight grain, but then becomes immediately apparent through use and in this case friction. I'll send you an email as well and see if we can resolve this matter for you ASAP.
“This belt is in an entirely different league when compared to ones I've previously bought (from e.g. Levi's and Tommy Hilfiger). The leather is beautiful; soft and thick, with nice subtle blemishes. Construction quality seems excellent - I don't expect this belt to fall apart any time soon. The Driftwood colour is beautiful, and very versatile (at least in my opinion; I wear it with all my casual pants). The sizing chart was accurate. I went with the size of my average pair of pants (Levi's jeans), i.e. pant size 31 -< belt size 31, and that was perfect. Also, the customer service was great. Very responsive and informative. Will definitely shop here again and recommend to friends.”
“Absolutely gorgeous belt, even for a lady! I don't have a need for extremely upscale belts, so this was polished enough for me. The Horween leather is thick and the driftwood color is a great neutral that pairs well with everything. I feel quite comfortable wearing it with casual or business casual clothing, and it feels really comfortable, too, even for a thicker belt.
I feel the product page is a little vague on where to measure, though, since the waistline could mean either the natural waistline or the belt line depending on who you ask. That's on me, though--should have contacted the Popov customer service team first! Fortunately, the belt size I ordered does fit my low-rise pants. As the product page says, absolutely don't add any extra inches!”
