“I recently purchased the English Tan belt which is my fourth from the line produced by Popov (I also have other products). The craftsmanship and leather quality are unmatched, even at much higher prices in my opinion. I expect the belt to patina quite nicely and for comparison I’ve included a pic with my others. The Black and Heritage Brown are about 3 and 2 years old respectively and get frequent wear. The Colour #8 gets less regular wear. The ET will slot into regular rotation. I condition them about once a year. The belts are just the right thickness and soften up perfectly with some wear. Great with jeans, chinos or whatever and I wear them with my Iron Rangers as well as dress shoes; extremely versatile.”
“A great belt overall - sturdy and without any extra frills. The tan colour was much lighter than I had expected, and didn’t like it to begin with. But it has started gaining a slight patina after only a few days of wearing, and I have started really liking it. I expect it to look much better over time.”
“First, I had the Popov Leather wallet for years and it is still a joy to behold. Forever item.
As for belt? Two stars, tops. It is true to size and is very comfortable. Other than that, belt looks almost unfinished. The edges are frayed and leather, although fairly thick and soft, looks ..crumbly and of poor quality. Value for money is not there. As it is comfortable I will keep it for my work pants, but never show it in public. Sorry but it is what it is. Wish there is a way to send you a photo of this particular item so you can put it in your Learning Experience folder.
