“First off, I should totally not be surprised by how much I love this checkbook wallet! EVERYTHING from Popov Leather is simply amazing. So much so that I switched from engraving my typical handle (RandomChill) on their products to my first initial and last name so they will work for my son when they're passed down. Holding their products in your hand for the first time and you KNOW they're going to last (even if Popov didn't have a lifetime guarantee).
I've been looking for a great checkbook wallet for years now and I finally found one.
So, about the 5 star rating. Honestly, if I could give half (or even three quarter) stars I would because this checkbook wallet is thisclose to being perfect for me. That said, rounding up because is is SO close to perfect and my only complaints have to do with preference.
What would I change? I wish there was an option for no snap enclosure. Barring that, I wish the snap enclosure was just a little bit bigger to accommodate a pen to be placed between it and the checkbook. As it is, there's just not enough room for one. It could also be easily solved (or not so because of die changes...) by making it close like the field notes covers - with 2 pen loops.
Overall, a magnificent product.
