“I purchased a Field note cover in English Tan recently and I am really impressed with the quality and functionality of this super simple piece of EDC. I have used a lot of notebooks and covers but have to say this one is really the very best. Since the minute I received the package this has been a constant companion either in my pocket or briefcase. There is something really interesting in the marriage of a super simple small but sturdy notebook and a top quality cover. Great size and a great asset for staying organized on the move. Add a Parker Jotter and you are set. I was sceptical on the size of the Field Notes but truthfully its very functional.”

“The feel of the leather and the overall functionality of this notebook cover are top notch. I especially appreciate the pen loops both for holding my pen and also for keeping the cover closed. I only have three, small quibbles, which add up to one star being deducted from my review.
First is that the color of leather I received really doesn't look anything like the picture on the web site. It's lovely, but far, far redder than what is shown. I realize that a natural product like this will show some variation, but this was pretty extreme. Second is that the tolerances of size are really designed for a notebook as thin as Field Notes. While I know a lot of people like Field Notes brand notebooks, those of us who write with fountain pens need a higher quality paper. Putting on of my preferred Clairfontaine notebooks in the cover makes it somewhat more difficult to close. Finally, the card slots on the inside of the notebook fit credit cards just fine, but they don't fit business cards. Since storing business cards in there was my intended use I would have appreciated seeing something to this effect in the product description.
All in all I can confidently recommend this product to anyone.”
“I have been using the field notes cover with outside pockets as my everyday wallet for almost 2 years now. I could not be happier about my purchase! It looks even better than the day it arrived. It has darkened slightly, and broken in with a slight butt-curve. It easily slips in to my back pocket, and the outside cards barely catch the pocket seam when I pull it out (which I don't mind, kind of a theft deterrent). The threads are all still in great condition and worn in to the leather by now. I plan on carrying this wallet on me everyday for the rest of my life.”
