“I own a small, field-notes-sized cover from Popov that I bought a few years ago. I LOVE that cover. I ended up purchasing 2 more and giving them to good friends.
I was looking for the same cover in a larger, journal size. The small one is thick and sturdy, but still soft, beautiful leather. This new one felt much thinner and much more pliable. The kind folks at Popov wrote and told me that it was the same leather as they use on the smaller one, but that it feels thinner and is more pliable because it's larger. I don't really understand how that could be, but they are the experts, not me.
Anyway, it wasn't what I was looking for at all, so I had to return it and am now having to look elsewhere for the cover I want.”
