The paper is quite durable and well sought after by fountain pen enthusiasts who love how it handles ink. But I understand if this type of notebook isn't suited for your use. “I have been using the Pocket Note Keeper paired with a A6 notebook cover in Heritage Brown for several months now and I have to say it's become my favourite daily carry notebook. I use the built in (on the leather cover) loop to carry a Kaweco AL Sport fountain pen and this combination is perfect. The TR paper in the notebook is lined but not too heavily and the pages numbered. The notebook itself is well bound and has double the writing surfaces of any other pocket notebook of a similar thickness due to the excellent TR paper. Highly recommend the Note Keeper range of notebooks and the excellent covers that PopovLeather make.”

It’s much sturdier than Field Notes, plus the ink I use writes much smoother with no line breaks on the Note Keeper’s paper versus that of the Field Notes.
