“I purchased this tote bag in English Tan for my wife, for Mother’s Day. She really likes it, and it has been practical, since it can hold a lot of stuff. It doesn’t have many pockets, so it might not be suitable as a purse for some people, but it works great for outings, especially with all of the stuff the kids bring. The leather has so much character. My wife tends to really beat up her everyday items, so I can’t wait to see how the leather patina develops. I admit, I’m jealous. I’m waiting for a nice Popov briefcase or messenger bag in the English Tan leather to get for myself.”
“This was purchased as a gift. The leather was supple, the seams were tight and the overall construction is a great pairing with the guarantee. The leather did have a couple dark spots about size of a large nail head. These looked like warts or moles on the animal's skin. I realize this is a nod authenticity, and is prized by many leather fans. Personally I was surprised as I had not seen such marks on any of my previous Popov purchases, and this was not a rugged item, it's a women's tote. I'm confident Popov would have made it right but it was a gift, I needed something to share and the recipient loved the warm whiskey tone and didn't notice the black spots. I respect the disclaimer about true leathers but I was still surprised Horween leather would ship with large blemishes would have been shipped without further explanation or additional discount. Thankfully it all worked out. To be clear I still trust Popov leather and will order in the future”
