“I love my watch band (natural). It's holding up great with everyday use and even splashes of water which I was worried about. The patina of the Natural after a couple of months has become something closer to whiskey or tobacco. In terms of wear the band does stretch a bit but just enough to make a perfect molded fit.”
“I must apologize for this long awaited update to my review. Due to circumstances, I completely missed the email that Ryan Popoff sent and have only now seen it. My initial review I must admit was fueled a bit by my being upset at what had happened, and the initial response I had received. I had no wish to ever use the band as I was afraid it may come apart again. I removed the original review to instead focus on what was done to make this right, but for context it involved a pin failure that caused my watch to fall from my wrist and break.
Ryan apologized for the initial response, acknowledging that it was a mistake, and discussed the current band hardware (they had initially had a clasp system, before switching to pins)
He was devastated that it had failed as it had, and asked for any other details I could give in order to ensure it didn’t happen again.
Given that it had been almost 2 months since I’d received the email, I wasn’t sure if he would reply, but I sent an email back anyways. He replied quickly, updating me on what they have done in the meantime to ensure the problem has been fixed (they isolated the problem to the pins and have moved to a much more hardy and durable solution with the hardware supplier). This is awesome, and I am glad that to see that they do respond to their customers reviews on problems and improvements.
Ryan more than made it right with me, acknowledging the problem, fixing it, and will even be sending me the updated hardware so that I can wear my band without fear that it will fail.
I don’t know what I was looking for in my initial correspondence, but I think this is exactly it. A company that cares about their products, does not let things slide even months later, and ensures that their customers are taken care of.
I can truthfully say that Ryan went above and beyond in making things right. As I said in my initial review, their bands (and all products) are beautiful, and with the care Ryan and his team have, you won’t find a better product.
