“It's a fantastic way to bench, squat, and deadlift while living in tighter spaces or always moving. This, coupled with the Elite USA 90 set, allows me to see meaningful progress in my strength/rehab training in my current phase of life, where getting to the gym is not possible.
As a former professional athlete, this has been a great addition to my setup at home.”
“I really wish that I had read the length on the bar. I bought the straight bar for a squat rack/bench and the fact that it can’t be used with it makes this almost useless.”
“Overall very great product. Sturdy and well made. Some balance issues where the bar will want to spin in your hands while performing a lift but can be mitigated with a minor grip adjustment. Would recommend this product to anyone looking to get a little more versatility out of their Elite USA package”
“I would not have purchased this straight bar add-on again if I could go back in time. It's far too narrow, making it almost unusable for bench press. It kind of forces you into a triceps press rather than bench press (note I'm rather short - so imagine if you're on the bigger side...). The balance is also completely inverted - the bar wants to flip over.”
“The bar itself is well made and I like the knurling on the handles and how solid the weight and bar fit together. That said, the bar itself is relatively narrow (at 6'3, the bar is barely wide enough for me to take a wider-than-shoulder grip) and the weights are not balanced to the bar (the weights with 80lbs a side) want to tilt forward. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone wanting to use it for a front/back squat. It is still a good complementary tool.”
“I thoroughly enjoy my new USA Elite Series Straight bar. The knurl on it is fantastic. I can’t give the bar 5 stars because it didn’t immediately turn me into a macho man, but overall I am extremely happy with it.”
