Pro 100 EXP TPR / 100 LBS Reviews

Love these things to death! First pair of adjustable dumbells and I'm glad I made the right choice. The Pro 100 EXPs are sturdy, comfortable and honestly make me feel like a specimen with the block design in my hands lol. Otherwise, a 10/10 product and if anymore stages are made, I will definitely be buying.

The newest version in just bought have the adder weights out farther than the handle making it feel really unbalanced for many exercises (curls, side lateral raises, etc). Knurled handle feels good to me but have had many people say they think they are too thick.

Recently purchased some Powerblock Pros with knurled grips. I had pondered getting a set of the Pro 50 Exp, but while I waited Powerblock changed the set to 40s, with knurled grips. I wanted the grips, but now had to add an expansion set to get the 50 and 60 pounds. So far it seems like a quality set. No major issues. Minor issues: it's a little cumbersome to change weights in 5 lb increments. You have to take the set down to the handles, flip a tab, remove the cylinders, then restack the handles and select your new weight. Also, only one real comfortable way to grip the dumbells so it limits some exercises you might normally do with dumbells. From the looks of it they should last quite awhile.

I will just write a review of the entire set here because I purchased up to here. I needed some expandable weight with little space. This did the trick and even though I'm only up to 80 lbs I can take it up to 100 which is fantastic for me personally as I'm looking to increase my strength. The rec room at work only goes to 50 lbs and ya know I'm pretty comfortable tossing 50 pounds around now and wanted to go further. Dad also has the 90 lbs one and his are still in working condition after maybe 8 years? Would highly recommend buying these before investing in something like bowflex. I'm getting both for my needs but I can challenge myself more here with less of a ding to my wallet.

The weights are as-advertised. Quality weights that will save you space. Order execution was an issue. It took 3 calls to customer service with the rep putting me on hold to check the warehouse to finally get my order (the reps were extremely nice). When the weights did arrive, one had a minor paint chip. Neither thing is a big deal, but given the premium price tag I don't think this should happen. This review should be 5 stars but the poor execution at this price-point forces me to go with 3 stars.
