“I've had a pair of Classic 50s since 2010 and they've stood the test of time. I recently decided to add a pair of these Elite 90s to my arsenal and they are impressive. Powerblocks are easy to use and are built solid!”
“Made in the USA is a really good start and they have not disappointed. These dumbells are exceptionally well built and in my opinion are the best combination of durability, size, and speed. These are solid metal with very little that can possibly go wrong or break. In addition the speed at which you can change weights is impressive, it just takes a few seconds. The last thing is something that isn't talked about much but the size of the dumbells even at 90 lbs is very compact in comparison to most others out there. I believe they are 12 inches at 50 lbs, 14 inches at 70 lbs, and 16 inches at 90 lbs which is great. I selected the knurled grip and really like it. The selector pin is a little unusual but rock solid and I have zero worries. My home gym was loaded with a trap bar, a barbell, plenty of bumper plates (400 lbs), a squat rack/bench combination and I replaced all of it with these Powerblocks. There isn't much I cannot do with the powerblocks that I was doing with my previous set up. The only exception is in absolute load. I am 61, plenty strong, and I have found that excessive poundage for me isn't necessary or in the long run healthy. Ultimately I am very happy with my Powerblocks and highly recommend them.”
“I’m very happy with my purchase. I’ve used power blocks in the past, but never owned my own set. Having a home gym makes these really nice rather than having an entire set of dumbbells taking up space. Obviously these can’t be dropped like rubber dumbbells after heavy sets, but I can manage. Thanks for a great product.”
“Powerblock is a great invention that saves a lot of space and likely money. I love that I was able to buy the 70 lbs Stage 2 kit later after I found I did like the USA Elite 50 lb Stage 1, without added shipping costs. I will likely buy the 90 lbs Stage 3 kit as well. I also find that I can add some weight to some leg and core exercises by inserting my feet through the 60 or 70 lbs expansions. I just have one issue, the 60 lb and sometimes the 60 and 70 lb expansions stick when I try to use only 50 lbs or so. Attaching a video to demonstrate. It only happens with one of my 2 Stage 2 kits.”
“I’m 67 year old, and I have had a set of Bowflex 552 dumbbells for over a year. A few weeks ago, one of the plastic disc broke and I couldn’t find the part, so I bought the PowerBlock Elite USA 90 with knurled grips and 2nd weight stage (up to 70 lbs). I have since been able to repair the Bowflex, but the PowerBlocks are now my primary dumbbells. Weight adjustments are fast and easy. They feel balanced in the hand, and I really like the fact they are flat and square -- makes it easy to set them up for floor flys (and pretty much everything else.) No moving or plastic partes to wear out or fail. I still use the Bowflex, but only for supersets when I need a second set of dumbbells to maximize the time efficiency of the exercise. If you are looking for adjustable dumbbells, PowerBlock is the way to go. And by the stand too, you will be glad you did.”
