Sticking a spade into the area I've been weeding & planting is like sticking the spade into concrete. The auger did the holes for me very, VERY easily. “I'm not sure if I need a more powerful drill but today I tried making a hole and my drill smelled like it was burning. The soil was light and fluffy so I'm not sure what caused it unless I need a more powerful drill. It did exactly what I wanted otherwise so if it's the drill, I'd give it a 5.”
