“Will not go through moist dirt and will not go through tiny roots (1/16") Would probably work well on loose soil but if I had loose soil, I wouldn't need this tool.”
“I'm in the process of planting about 400 plugs and boy does the 2" x 7" auger make the task easier! A tip: I have extremely sandy soil. I find watering things down the night before keeps the holes from filling back in.”
“Great product! It’s well-made and durable, I was even able to use it in the Georgia clay. It does a great job of crumbling up the dirt/clay for filling in around your plants. A stronger drill would help me with the rockiness of the soil, but the auger itself is so strong that I’m able to make do with a household power drill. I agree that the hex for the chuck and thickness of material is what sets this brand above others. I highly recommend!”
